On Monday, December 11, Santa will be visiting Jack MacKenzie School for students to have the opportunity to have their picture taken with him. The cost is $2.00 per photo, and $2.00 for each additional photo if students would like their picture taken with a friend or family member as well.

Jack MacKenzie School Special Lunch is on December 15th! This month's lunch will be coming from Subway. Please ORDER ONLINE by Sunday, December 10th. If you have not yet registered please go to: www.HealthyHunger.ca

December is a busy month and will be especially busy for the SLC as they are planning several events. One of their bigger events is creating food hampers for families in need from Albert and Thomson Schools. They are hoping that each classroom at Jack MacKenzie School will fill a hamper with items for a Christmas meal.

A big thank you to Mrs. Reschny, Mrs. Grand, Mrs. Hinz and the Senior Jack MacKenzie Choir for participating in the Rotary Carol Festival this evening. The choir performed two lovely songs at the Knox Metropolitan Church. Mr. MacKenzie joined in on the festivities and was acknowledged to the crowd before the students began their songs.

Today Jack MacKenzie staff was treated to a special Christmas lunch that the SCC and parents from the community organized. On behalf of the staff, thank you so much to everyone who contributed to make this special lunch for us. On top of being incredibly delicious, families were more than generous with all of the food items that were sent in.

Next week, from December 4-8th, the SLC will be selling candy canes for $1.00 each during recesses. All funds raised will go towards creating extra Christmas hampers to go along with the classroom Christmas hampers for families in need from Albert and Thomson Schools.
