From January to March we requested your input on names for our Pods and areas around our school. The goal is to continue to celebrate the legacy of Mr. MacKenzie by having names that help us to remember his teachings. These names will then be branded as an ongoing legacy piece in our school.
With great sadness, we acknowledge the passing of Mr. Jack MacKenzie in August 2018. He passed away peacefully surrounded by family and friends. Mr. MacKenzie's enduring presence is felt in this school and by all who knew him. He had an effortless ability to love, think of others and give back to the community.
On behalf of the SCC, we would like to thank everyone who came to support our school BBQ and fundraiser for our Love for Nahla campaign! The games, activities, and food trucks were enjoyed by all. Thank you so much for being a community where "effort and kindness count".
Our crosswalk lights in front of the school are up and running! When you see the lights flashing, please stop to check for children crossing before proceeding. Safety patrollers will still be out to assist students crossing the street.
